A Global Chronicle of Excellence, Heritage and Diaspora Achievement
The forthcoming Cypriots Worldwide Edition, presented by Cypriot Who’s Who, is a landmark international volume documenting and celebrating the personal histories, achievements and cultural legacy of Cypriots across the globe, affirming their history, culture and enduring presence.
For more than two decades, the publication’s earlier books — Greek Cypriots in the UK (2005) and Greek Cypriots Worldwide (2009) — recorded the experiences of Cypriots who built their lives abroad, charting the development and character of Cypriot communities around the world. They safeguarded thousands of personal accounts that might otherwise have been lost, securing individual experiences and collective progress for future generations.
Two major London launches helped establish the project’s early prominence — hosted at the Hellenic Centre and the Cypriot Community Centre — and attended by President Nikos Christodoulides, former President Demetris Christofias, ambassadors, community leaders and speakers including Lord Adonis, Peter Andre, Dr Linda Papadopoulos, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and Peter Polycarpou. These gatherings underscored the importance of heritage, excellence and the intergenerational continuity of the global Cypriot community.
The new Cypriots Worldwide Edition honours the diversity of Cypriot identity — Greek, Turkish, Maronite, Armenian, Latin and mixed heritage — and profiles individuals whose work spans business, the arts, media, science, education, sport, philanthropy, public service and innovation. Together, these profiles illuminate the shared achievements of Cypriots worldwide.
Contemporary Cypriot excellence is reflected in the work of figures such as Demis Hassabis, Tracey Emin, Antigoni Buxton, Stelana Kliris and Marcus Edwards — alongside emerging voices shaping the next era of Cypriot influence and forging new legacies abroad.
The project’s digital platform, www.cypriotwhoswho.com, serves as a dynamic extension of the publication, offering diaspora news, editorial features, community updates and a dedicated nomination portal that expands and enriches the global Cypriot archive.
Editorial Statement
“This edition honours the generations whose resilience and community spirit laid the foundations for today’s global Cypriot presence. By recording their experiences alongside contemporary achievement, we strengthen cultural identity, safeguard shared heritage and ensure that future generations inherit an enduring and complete record of the Cypriot story worldwide.”
