UK Cypriot owned restaurant chain Brother Marcus wins major restaurant Award SCALABLE CONCEPT AWARD R200 Award Winners 2025

Brother Marcus Restaurant founders Tasos Gaitanos and Alex Large have travelled the East Med extensively to experience its vibrant food and lively culture first-hand, bringing the bold flavours of the region back to London. Brother Marcus is our take on true East Med hospitality – all about generosity and good times.

And the name? While their dishes draw on Tas’ Cretan and Cypriot heritage, they borrowed the name from Alex’s legendary little brother Marcus, who makes friends with just about everyone he meets. What better way to capture the warmth of the East Med than to name their restaurants after him?
