Baroness Meral Hussein-Ece is a British parliamentarian of Turkish-Cypriot heritage and a member of the House of Lords. She has held senior leadership roles in local government and the National Health Service, and was the first woman of Turkish-Cypriot heritage to sit in the British Parliament. A former Commissioner of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, she is recognised for her long-standing work on equality, human rights, and the protection of women and girls.
