Dr. Aristos Aristidou is an internationally recognized leader in bioprocess and metabolic engineering, whose career bridges scientific discovery and real-world impact. With over 20 years of global leadership, he has co-invented more than 30 patent families, authored 25+ scientific publications, and helped bring bio-based fuels, materials, and bioplastics to full industrial scale in support of global decarbonisation. A founding contributor to NatureWorks and Gevo, and a former Corporate Fellow at Cargill, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his contributions to renewable technologies. He is currently Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he is leading the development of a new Center for Biomanufacturing focused on the future of sustainable industry.
