Katerina says, ‘‘I’ve worked at Anthony Nolan for over 7 years now and get to see just how important the work we do is.’’

In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Yes you read that right, I’ve become a runner girl and signed up to a half marathon – in my 30s – what a shock, I’m basically a meme.

And what an even bigger shock, I’m raising money for Anthony Nolan. It’s got to the point that I don’t know what I wouldn’t do for them! (The full marathon is the answer.)

Training for this was the first time I’d run a 5k, so this really is a big deal for me!! (Sorry to everyone who has heard me banging on about the fact that I run now.) I did try back in the summer of 2020, but never quite finished couch to 5k, oops. And please don’t judge me if I have to walk part of this 🤣

And raising money for Anthony Nolan – as always – is super important. I know first hand working there for over 7 years the incredible work we do and couldn’t not raise money again.

This is the first time Katerina is running a half-marathon. Over the years of working at Anthony Nolan, she has  done a skydive and also the Dare Skywalk Edge at Tottenham Hostpur Stadium, to raise money for Anthony Nolan.
Here’s some background information on Anthony Nolan:

Whether it be through making lifesaving connections between patients and incredible strangers who are ready to donate their stem cells, or funding ground-breaking research that could transform the future for more patients, or even providing the best experience for
every patient before, during and after transplant.
